Rick Benjamin
Rick Benjamin is an acclaimed sportscaster who is currently the play-by-play host of the Champ Car World Series on CBS Sports, NBC Sports and SPEED. He also serves as the play-by-play host of the Hooters Pro Cup stock car series and the World of Outlaws Late Model series on SPEED, the play-by-play host of the ASA Late Model series on the Men's Channel and play-by-play host of NASCAR Racing on MRN Radio.
In the NFL arena, Rick is also the anchor/host of the Panthers Postgame/WrapUp shows on the Carolina Panthers Radio Network.
Rick has won two Associated Press "Best Newscast" awards. He also won the NHRA's Media Excellence award in 1999 and the NMPA's Myers Brothers Award for his work with MRN Radio back in 1989.
Previously, Rick served as the Anchor, Managing Editor of TNN's award-winning RaceDay pregame show, 1995-2000. He was the play by play host of NASCAR Cup, Busch, Truck events, ASA stock cars, and Trans Am events on TNN, 1995-2000 and host of NASCAR Cup and Busch Series coverage, TBS Sports, 1992-1997."
Benjamin resides in Matthew, North Carolina with his wife, Kathleen, and two sons.
