All-American Driver Challenge
Tracy Trotter

Tracy Trotter comes from racing family. His father was a NASCAR late model driver and his uncle raced out of the shops of the legendary A.J. Foyt. Trotter began his racing career at age 16 driving go-karts, and won the Gulf Coast Rookie Karting Association Junior Rookie of the Year Award in 1982. Trotter went on to win more championships in 1983, 1984 and 1985. The next step in his racing journey was dirt track stock car racing and he soon moved from his native Texas to North Carolina to pursue his dream.

In 1989, Trotter's uncle introduced him to famed Winston Cup engine builder, Harold Elliott, who was looking to start his own TeflonĀ® coatings business for race parts. He hired Trotter to be the general manager of H.M. Elliott, an offer that afforded him the opportunity to work with many in the racing community. After eight years, Trotter opened his own coatings company, Calico Coatings, a leader in the coatings industry. Over the years, Trotter's passion for racing has never wavered. He is in his third year as a car owner and already has six wins to his credit. He owns the Calico Coatings Late Model Stock Car and two "All-American Driver Challenge" midgets, one of which claimed the 2005 USAC National Ford Focus Championship.

He resides in Denver, NC with his wife, Beth, and two children.
