WINNER OF "THE ALL-AMERICAN DRIVER CHALLENGE" TO DRIVE WINNING CAR FROM THIS YEAR'S FORD FOCUS MIDGET SERIES NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
DENVER, NC (10/3/2005) - The National Ford Focus Midget Car Series was won on Sunday, September 24th, by the #11 All-American Driver Challenge car. The winner of "The All-American Driver Challenge" will be driving this same winning car for the 2006 season of the USAC Carolinas Midget Series.

Tracy Trotter, car owner and promoter of The All-American Driver Challenge (AADC), was thrilled about his team's win. "This is the same car that the winner of The All-American Driver Challenge will be driving next year," said Trotter. "The combination of a winning car and a winning driver will make for another great season in 2006."
Last year, Trotter discovered Ray and provided him with a ride in the AADC car for the 2005 season. "The All-American Driver Challenge was created to give one talented driver per year, the opportunity at a career in a professional racing series," said Tracy Trotter, promoter of the AADC. "We're very proud of Robbie and what he's been able to accomplish this year. He represents the qualities we're looking for in the next All-American Driver."
The car's current driver, Robbie Ray, started the final race fourth in the 20-car field, started out by passing Northeast Focus points leader Michael Sboro to take third. He then passed polesitter Stephanie Stevens and then on Lap 43, overtook Brandon Wagner and led the rest of the way to score the victory and win the inaugural National title on Sunday.

The AADC is a driver development and search program that is geared toward fostering the best up-and-coming talent for a future career in a professional American racing series. All aspiring racecar drivers between the ages of 15 and 26 are invited to enter the AADC and earn their way to becoming the next American racing hero. Open qualifying runs through December 15th. The All-American Driver Challenge is presented by Calico Coatings and other participating sponsors and endorsed by USAC.
