DENVER, NC (11/3/2005) - Two current champions and two runners-up from the Snap-on Stars of Karting Presented by the IRL will be competing in "The All-American Driver Challenge" and take their shot at being the next All-American Driver.

Stars of Karting represents the pinnacle series in the sport of karting and is often the first step to a career in motorsports. Its association with the IRL and other key motorsport entities allows the Stars of Karting to give racers the chance to move onward. The racers in the series are among the most talented, promising drivers today. In fact, many professional racecar drivers utilize karting during their off-season to keep themselves in racing shape and prepare for the upcoming season.

The AADC is a driver development and search program that is geared toward fostering the best up-and-coming talent for a future career in a professional American racing series. All aspiring racecar drivers between the ages of 15 and 26 are invited to enter the AADC and earn their way to becoming the next American racing hero. Today there are very few driver development and search programs. The All-American Driver Challenge was developed to find talented young drivers and provide them with a unique opportunity to begin a racing career in USAC.

Interested participants can go online to www.allamericandriver.com to register for the Challenge (this includes a $300 registration fee). Once registered, Challengers will then go to one of 11 approved indoor karting centers across the country and begin running their qualifying laps. Open qualifying ends on December 15, 2005. In the end, one deserving Challenger will win the chance to race full time in the 2006 USAC Carolina Midget Series and follow in the footsteps of some of today's racing stars.
