An elite panel of industry judges including motorsports journalist, Bones Bourcier; sportscaster, Rick Benjamin; Beast open-wheel chassis builder, Bob East; NASCAR Busch Series competitor, John Andretti and others will be critiquing all Challengers in several areas, including:
- Driving Talent
- Communication Skills
- Media Presence

- Personal Character
Drivers began qualifying for the AADC on June 1st, competing for the prize of a contract to drive the AADC midget in the 2007 Carolina/Virginia USAC Midget Series. In Addition, the winner will complete a three-day formula racing school in Las Vegas courtesy of the American Racing Academy and RacingSchools.com. The winner will also receive a complete package of racing equipment from Simpson Race Products, The Joie of Seating, UnderX and Mechanix Wear.
Open qualifying was held at go karting facilities around the country and ended on December 15th. Challengers were asked to submit their best 100 laps. All Challengers who entered and completed their laps were extended an invitation to compete before the judges.
"We are very excited as we prepare for our second Challenge," said Brian Moates, AADC Executive Director. "Although we did not get the number of entrants we would have liked to see, I don't want anyone to think the competition won't be fierce. I know it will be as tough, if not tougher, than last year's competition. I have seen the resumes of some of these drivers and heard the determination in their voices during my conversations with them. We will find someone with the talent and determination to make a career in professional motorsports."
The All-American Driver Challenge is a driver search and competition that is geared toward fostering the best up-and-coming talent for a future career in a professional American racing series. Challenge winners will be developed for the opportunity to advance to higher levels of racing including the USAC™ National Midget, Silver Crown™, Sprint and NASCAR® Late Model Weekly Racing Series. All aspiring racecar drivers between the ages of 15 and 23 were invited to enter the AADC and earn their way to becoming the next American racing hero.
