ALL-AMERICAN DRIVER CHALLENGE CHAMPION LEADING THE USAC CAROLINA MIDGET SERIES POINTS BATTLE HEADING INTO SATURDAY NIGHT'S EVENT AT FRANKLIN COUNTY SPEEDWAY.
DENVER, NC (9/7/07) - After the first 10 races of his rookie season in the USAC Carolina Midget Series, Tanner Swanson, the 2007 All-American Driver Challenge (AADC) Champion, has taken over the points lead.

So far this season, Swanson has claimed two wins, three top 3s and has earned one pole in the USAC Carolina Midget Series. He has also claimed two wins in the USAC Western States Sprint Car Series, becoming the youngest driver in history to win a USAC Sprint car race.
In February of this year, Swanson competed against more than 75 drivers from around the country to win the 2007 AADC competition and won a fully paid contract to drive in the 2007 USAC Carolina Midget Series. Swanson takes the wheel again tomorrow, September 8th, at Franklin County Speedway in Callaway, VA, to vie for another win in the 35-lap feature and maintain his points lead.

"We ran second last time we were at Franklin County Speedway," said Swanson. "We're hoping to go back and have the same level of success we had earlier this year."
No novice to the sport of racing, Swanson began racing at the tender age of 10 running in the Junior Sprint Class. His racing accomplishments include the 2006 Modified Super Toyota Championship and the Rookie of the Year award as well as the Plaza Park Raceway Multi 600 Championship. Swanson is a junior at Kingsburg High School where he maintains a 4.0 GPA, is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Farmers of America and is also on his high school basketball, tennis and cross country teams.

The AADC is a driver search and competition that is geared toward fostering the best up-and-coming talent, ages 15-23, for a future career in a professional American racing series. In addition to a driving contract, All-American Driver Challenge winners receive a three-day racing school at the American Racing Academy in Las Vegas courtesy of www.racingschools.com, the world's largest single source of auto racing school information. Simpson Performance also provides the winner with a complete driver uniform including embroidered racing suit, helmet, gloves and shoes.
AADC winners are developed for the opportunity to advance to higher levels of racing including the USAC™ National Midget, Silver Crown™, Sprint and NASCAR® Late Model Weekly Racing Series. The All-American Driver Challenge is presented by Calico Coatings and sponsored by American Racing Academy, Racingschools.com, Unique Pizza and Subs, Simpson Race Products, The Joie of Seating, Mechanix Wear, Under X, K&N Filters, Phoenix Physical Therapy & Sports Performance and endorsed by USAC.
